Who is Jody?
Living her own romance story is what inspired Jody to write romance novels because it was never her dream to become a writer. Jody left a job opportunity in a different state because she met a man and fell in love. After losing her real-life law enforcement hero of nearly 30 years, she is finding her way back to the world of writing romance.
Based on her life experiences and journey, Jody lives by the belief, "We may not understand why something happens, but the higher power does. And he has plans for us that we don't know about." In short, this is Jody's life—met a man and got engaged after knowing each other for three months, having to leave a job and become a stay-at-home mother, become a writer and published author, surprise four-year post-vasectomy baby, and the untimely loss of her beloved husband. It is after each event that she would learn the purpose as to why they happened. Although, Jody is waiting for the reason to present itself on the last loss.
In the fall of 2022, Jody met a fellow widower and has since moved just over the river in Wisconsin to live with RJ. Jody spends time at the beautiful Allianz Field watching her favorite MLS team, the Minnesota United FC. In her youth, Jody enjoyed reading V.C. Andrews' Dollanganger series (starting with Flowers in the Attic), S.E. Hinton, and Stephen King to name a few. As an adult, her list of authors and choices in genres has broadened.
Jody has been lucky enough to travel to the Bahamas, Cancun, Montana, Florida, New York, Colorado, South Dakota, and Ohau to name a few. She's cruised with Carnival, Disney, and Holland cruise lines to the Bahamas. Visiting Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic was her most recent trip abroad with RJ and they have more trips planned. All of these travel experiences inspire her stories.
