Since I haven't been able to write my own works of fiction, I'm editing books for my publisher, Melange Books, LLC. I do get to choose which book I'll be editing, and I do pick books outside my genre of contemporary romance. I invite you to step out of your normal romance genre and give one, or all, of these authors a read.

In Hope Cemetery, in the quaint little town of Osceola, Wisconsin, a pentacle lays hidden under a slab of chipped and scarred concrete. It was created by the archangel Michael, and consecrated by the first coven, over two hundred years ago on the floor of what was once a church.
Cejay Daniels is going to use it to remove her protector and friends from Hell, then send the evil bastards who put them there to their lair and lock the gate for good. Getting them back is going to take her cousin Carmen’s new power. A strange one in the shape of a person with one-half light and the other half dark. The only problem is, Carmen’s afraid of her power. It’s going to take time, time they don’t have, for Carmen to learn to control her gift, or this fight will end before it begins.
Powers grow, friendships falter, ghosts pop in, and the demons use others as a conduit to gain control which makes Cejay feel like she’s being pulled in every direction without knowing which to take.
But Cejay Daniels is The One. Born with the blood of Lucifer and chosen before she was born by the Fates to end a curse began mistakenly by her ghostly friend, Aster, to save her dying infant son. She’ll end this fight alone and make a deal with the devil if she has to.
She is The One.

Raven Koynes is a woman in hiding. Years ago, she escaped to the remote Gull Island Light Station, nestled far away in Lake Superior. She has carved out a life of peace and solitude for herself. Until fame d nature photographer Sebastian Knight arrives—in the height of a nor'easter storm—to document the beauty of Gull Island. Unsavory treasure hunters also blow in with the storm, determined to find missing cargo from a sunken ship. And they think Raven knows where it's stashed. A power outage is a final threat, pushing Raven to the limit.
Help arrives in the form of a stray German Shepherd Dog, who takes an immediate protective interest in Raven. He becomes her constant shadow and listening ear as she sorts out her growing—and conflicting—feelings for Sebastian.
Meanwhile, Sebastian came to the island looking for treasure as well, in the form of photographs. While he isn't so sure about a sunken boat and missing cargo, he only needs one look at Raven Koynes to know he's found his own valuable treasure. One he hopes he can hang on to once she learns about his mysterious secret.
Now that Madeline, the resident ghost, has found out, it's probably just a matter of time until Raven does too. And with the storm and power outage, no one is going anywhere any time soon.
